The Story Behind $INTHEWEEDS

$INTHEWEEDS started as a simple idea: a meme coin built for hospitality workers, by hospitality workers. Hence the name. Our founder and president, Joe Fabish, came up with it while working at a restaurant in Orlando — a job he'd picked up mostly to fill the time between basketball, tennis, and drinking. Joe was also basically a Bitcoin OG, having gotten in before it was worth a dollar. So when he watched his co-workers dabbling in crypto meme coins, and saw firsthand the struggles they dealt with day to day, an idea clicked: what if there was a meme coin for hospitality workers? Fun, maybe even profitable — and something that actually meant something.

But the more we built, the more it became clear this could be bigger. The world feels like it's falling apart in a lot of ways right now — and we think the hospitality industry is exactly the place to start pulling it back together.

So that's what we're doing. Staying true to our roots, and using hospitality to bring people together and make the world a little better — one table, one shift, one $INTHEWEEDS token at a time.
